Nothing is gathered in the background. Information reaches us only through forms you choose to fill in:
Goes to the prayer team. Not published, not read aloud unless you ask.
Shared with the congregation during Sunday worship. That is the point of it, so only send what you want said out loud.
Your name and how to reach you, passed to the team coordinator.
What you choose to give us for church records. Every field beyond name, email, and phone is optional.
We use it for church business and nothing else. If you would rather not use a form, call the office and we will take it down by hand.
Four services sit behind this website. Each publishes its own security information, linked below so you can read it from the source.
Netlify publishes the pages you are reading and collects what our forms send. Traffic is encrypted in transit, and Netlify maintains independently audited security certifications.
These pages are static files with no database or server code behind them, which removes many common ways websites get attacked — though not every risk. Forms, domain settings, publishing accounts, and the services below still need looking after, and we treat them that way.
Our membership records and the directory live in Planning Center, reached through Church Center. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, the service is independently audited, and the directory has its own sign-in, separate from anything on this website. It is not public and does not appear in search results.
When you give online you are handed off to Givelify, on their site under their terms. Your card details go to them and their payment processor. The church never sees, handles, or stores a card number. What comes back to us is a record of the gift for our books and your giving statement.
The store runs on Printful, a print-on-demand service. Nothing is printed until somebody orders it. You order, Printful prints and ships it, and the profit comes back to FCC. The church never touches your payment or your shipping address.
The member pages hold what we already publish on paper to the congregation: the newsletter, announcements, serving schedules, ministry information, birthdays and anniversaries.
Those pages are stored in encrypted form and can only be read after entering the shared member password in your browser. That keeps them out of search engines and away from casual passers-by.
Be clear about the limit. It is one password shared by the whole congregation, not a personal account for each member. Anyone holding it can read those pages. It is the right level of protection for a newsletter, and it is not the right level for anything more sensitive than that, which is why nothing financial, medical, giving-related, or about children goes in there.
If the password gets outside the congregation, tell the office and we will change it.
Videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, which means YouTube does not record your visit unless you actually press play.
Photos of church life appear on this site. If you or your child are in one and you would rather not be, tell the office and we will take it down. No explanation needed.
No part of this website asks children for information. Anything about a child reaches us from a parent or guardian, on a form they filled in themselves.
Ask the office. No form to fill in, and you do not have to give a reason.
If you spot a problem with this site or how it handles information, please tell us.
