We Grow Better Together
Pastor Lori turns to 1 Corinthians 12, where Paul describes the church as one body made of many members. A foot does not stop belonging to the body because it is not a hand, and the eye cannot tell the hand, “I have no need of you.” God arranges every part as he chooses, and the parts that seem weaker turn out to be indispensable. When one member suffers, all suffer together, and when one is honored, all rejoice together.

Young Christians’ Weekend at Silver Dollar City
Young Christians’ Weekend is our main teen event of the year. Our youth head to Branson, Missouri, for a weekend of worship, workshops, and time together with other church youth groups. This year’s theme is Called to Be Different.

Scripture is the center of what we teach. Sermons work through the text rather than around it, and our Bible classes do the same, one passage at a time, for every age from kindergarten through adult.
You do not need to know your way around a Bible to join one. Honest questions are welcome, and most of us started with them.

Our outdoor gathering place for sunrise worship, cookouts, hayrides, seasonal events, and relaxed time together with family and friends.

We praise God through song.
Praise and song are at the heart of this church. Each service opens with a contemporary Christian song from our worship band, and our choir leads the rest of the music through piano and traditional hymns.
Worship is led by Pastor Lori, a professionally trained vocalist and musician who serves as both our pastor and our worship leader. And that music does not stay inside our walls — our worship team takes part in worship events across the wider Chandler community throughout the year.

First Christian Church was founded in 1891, and the present Route 66 sanctuary opened in 1928. The building holds generations of memories, while the church continues to welcome new people into its worship, fellowship, and service.
